COMPASSIONATE CARE - ALWAYS

Services

Did you know…these fun facts about the Free Clinic?

The Free Clinic is homegrown and has been community supported since 1990.

We never charge our patients, and do not receive insurance or government reimbursement for our services.

Our volunteers change lives!

Vision Services

The Free Clinic of Southwest Washington partners with Pacific University to offer free vision exams; these exams are used to determine the need for glasses and to screen for conditions such as glaucoma and cataracts.

To qualify for our vision services, patients must be low-income and uninsured or carry insurance that does not cover vision care.

Vision exams are available by appointment only and we do have a waitlist.

Please call 360-450-3044 for more information.

Should a vision provider determine that a patient needs prescription glasses, we will refer the patient to a partner program to receive free glasses. We encourage patients who only need glasses for reading to buy reading glasses from the Dollar Store or a similar low-cost shop.

If a vision provider suspects a patient has an eye disease such as cataracts or severe retinopathy, we will try to refer the patient to free specialty care.

All of our vision services are provided by volunteers! Are you interested in volunteering your professional services for our vision clinics?  Please visit our volunteer pages for more information.
